Michael Oie nets five in Tigers win

Western Tigers, Beacons FC, Sunburst Camptown and Fruta Conquerors secured contrasting wins when the inaugural I-Net Communications u-13 Football League continued yesterday at the Tucville Community ground.

Western Tigers led by a five goal burst from Michael Oie, dismantle Fruta Conquerors-A by a 5-0 score line. The nippy Oie found the back of the net on either side of the halftime interval in the second, 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th minutes.

Similarly Beacons FC dismissed Black Pearl FC by a 3-0 margin. Randy Renaldo, Colwyn Best and James Freeman netted in the third, 14th and 23rd minutes correspondingly.

Meanwhile Sunburst Camptown downed Order and Discipline 2-0 compliments of goals from Bernard Nurse and Joshua Denny in the ninth and 19th minutes respectively. On the other hand, Fruta Conquerors squeaked past Pele FC 2-1.

Leroy Sealey-Yaw and Jermaine Garrett scored for the home side in the seventh and 13th minutes respectively while Akil Prass netted in the loss in the 35th minute.

In other results, Riddim Squad and Renaissance-B played to a 0-0 draw while Renaissance-A and Santos battled to a 1-1 stalemate. Fabian Boters gave Santos the early lead with a 14th minute effort while Bevney Mark equalised for Renaissance with a 35th minute effort.

The action continues today at the same venue with six matchups. In the opening matches at 13:00hrs Fruta Conquerors-A will tackle Renaissance-A while Western Tigers will lock horns with Riddim Squad.

At 14:00hrs, Renaissance-B will tackle Santos while Fruta Conquerors will faceoff with Order and Discipline from 14:00hrs. In the final matches of the day, Sunburst Camptown will lock horns with Black Pearl and Beacons FC will tackle Pele FC from 15:00hrs.
