They are a few new faces in the squad, including opening batsman/wicketkeeper William Perkins, left-arm spinner Derone Davis, pacers Marlon Richards and Miguel Cummins. The four foreign players are also new to the Red Steel- legendary South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis, his countryman and off-spinner, Johan Botha, another South African, all-rounder Cameron Delport and Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal.

“All…. players have walked into the team as if they have been here all along,” Borde said.

“They are very focused and experienced professionals and our camp is one that we like to keep as welcoming to all as possible but with guidelines.”

Kallis, who retired from first class cricket last year, is one of the headline names for the 2015 CPL.

“We expect that Mr. Kallis will bring a great level of intelligence, experience and guidance to the squad and that will only be good for the team.”said Borde.
