Kevaughn Garnett scored a double and Demel Joseph the other goal as Hope
Hope Secondary defeated La Bonne Intention (LBI) 3-1 in the fifth annual Digicel nationwide schools football competition yesterday at the Victoria Community Centre ground.
LBI’s goal scorer was goalkeeper Rayshawn Simon who netted from a free kick.
Garnett, scored an 18th minute penalty while his second goal came 22 minutes later while Joseph netted in the 34th minute.
At half time the score read 1-1.
Towards the end of the game Hope’s goalkeeper Dexroy Bristol produced a spectacular save from a free kick while LBI muffed a penalty also in the second half.
Stewartville beat Endeavour 3-0 in yesterday’s second match.
