Jamaica loses CONCACAF final

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, CMC – Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Mexico, in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup here Sunday night.
They fell behind after 31 minutes to an Andres Guardado strike at the Lincoln Financial Field, and Jesús Manuel Corona and Oribe Peralta added second half goals, to put the Mexicans 3-0 up after 61 minutes.
Major League Soccer striker Darren Mattocks pulled one back for the Reggae Boyz in the 80th minute.
Jamaica are the first Caribbean team to make an appearance in a Gold Cup final, after stunning defending champions United States, 2-1, earlier this week to qualify.
