Dwayne Bravo receives the Hummingbird Medal

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC-West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been presented with the Hummingbird Medal, the country’s third highest award.

The medal was presented to Bravo Monday night for his service to sport amidst celebrations marking the twin island republic’s 53rd anniversary since gaining independence.

Bravo led the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force to the Caribbean Premier League title in 2015 producing outstanding performances with the bat and ball.

“Receiving the third highest award in Trinidad and Tobago, the Hummingbird Gold, for my contribution to sport,” Bravo posted on social media. “I could not have done it without the love and support of my fans and most of all my teammates. This one is for you”.

Bravo, half-brother of fellow West Indies player Darren Bravo and cousin of West Indies legend Brian Lara, was also part of the Mumbai Indians team that won the 2015 Indian Premier League title.
