Enterprise downs defending champs Stella Marris 3-0

Enterprise Primary, South Ruimveldt and St. Angela’s were winners when the fourth annual Petra Organisation/Courts Pee-Wee Under-11 football continued yesterday at the Thirst Park ground.

Enterprise recorded the biggest win to date in the event downing defending champs Stella Maris 3-0. Seon Archibald opened the scoring in the 13th minute, striking his effort off the left upright and into the back of the net.

Martin King then made it 2-0 in the 28th minute, finishing into the lower right corner following a one-on-one situation with the final defender.

Garfield Caesar completed the win in the 32nd minute, volleying his effort into the roof of the goal, after pouncing on a loose ball within the left side of the box.

In the battle of the Ruimveldt’s, South edged heavyweights West 1-0. Zacharia Pemberton settled the outcome in the 11th minute with curling a free kick from 20 yards in the centre of the field, which settled into the lower left hand corner.

St. Angela’s elevated their status to tourney favourites, hammering Sophia Primary 9-0.

Keyon Douglas was the star performer with a five-goal haul in the fourth, seventh, ninth, 11th and 16th minutes while Antwoine Vincent netted a double in the 29th and 34th minutes.

Completing the rout were Antonio McArthur and Kenroy Cadogan who netted in the 15th and 30th minutes respectively.

In other results, St. Stephen’s defeated J.E. Burnham 3-0, Ronaldo Forde netting twice in the 10th and 34th minute while Otis Starughn scored the other goal in the 31st minute.

Continuing their unbeaten run was St. Margaret’s who defeated Comenius Primary 4-0. Makhi Adams recorded a hat-trick in the 20th, 21st and 26th minutes while Josiah King scored in the 34th minute.

St. Pius defeated North Georgetown 2-0 with Sherwin Nelson and Selwyn Jones scoring in the 16th and 25th minutes respectively.

Similarly securing a win was Rama Krishna who gained a walkover from St. Sidwell’s while St. Ambrose too gained a walkover from East La Penitence.

St. Agnes dismantled Marian Academy 5-0. Daniel Pollard netted a double in the 10th and 28th minutes while Ronald Abrams scored in the 16th and 40th minutes. Completing the score was Mwange Smith in the 18th minute.

Winfer Gardens downed St. Gabriel’s by a 2-0 score line compliments of a second half Makhaya Munroe double in the 23rd and 37th minutes. Recording their first win of the event, Tucville Primary defeated School of the Nations 3-0.

Rayheim Marques netted a double in the 18th and 30th minutes while Anthony Vandy assisted with a 11th minute effort.

F.E. Pollard and Smith Memorial battled to 1-1 draw in their encounter. Dwayne Kellman scored for the Smith Memorial in the ninth minute while Jamal December equalised for F.E. Pollard in the 28th minute.
