Winners Connections and Botofago got off to the perfect start in the UDFA First Division Football League, crushing Netrockers and Blueberry Hill respectively when the event commenced on Wednesday at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground.
Winners Connection crushed Netrockers by a 4-1 score line. Rawle Gittens led the winners with a hat-trick in the fifth, 18th and 64th minutes while an own goal in the 72nd minute completed the result. On target in the loss was Shane Luckie in the 36th minute.
In the second fixture of the night, Botofago FC downed Blueberry Hill by a 3-1 score line. Tevin David, Carlos Monkhouse and Shaquille Clarke found the back of the net in the 20th, 24th and 89th minutes respectively. Scoring in the loss in the 58th minute was Mark Liddell. Action in the tourney will continue on Sunday at the same venue.
