Girls U-11 Football Championship… South Ruimveldt, West Ruimveldt, St Stephen’s storm into knockout round

South Ruimveldt, West Ruimveldt and St. Stephen’s stormed their way into the knockout round when the group stage in the 2nd Smalta/Ministry of Public Health, Girls U-11 Football Championship concluded yesterday.

Staged at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue, South Ruimveldt handed holders Stella Maris their first loss of the event as they won 2-0. Shawntell Richards and Lenisla John settled the outcome in the 16th and 17th minutes respectively.

Meanwhile, St. Stephen’s dismantled Smith Memorial 4-0.
