Junior James top scores for Two Brothers

Junior James cracked 61 as Two Brothers Primary recorded a nine wicket win over Kawall Primary while Vive-la-Force Primary beat Nismes Primary by 34 runs as the GCB/Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket continued in the West Bank Demerara Zone.

James led the way with his unbeaten 61 with three fours and eight sixes as his school sped to 119/1 in the 14th over replying to Kawall’s 118. Kawall Primary batting first, posted their target in 14 overs as Khemraj Nohar top scored with 55 (5×4, 3×6). He was well supported by Rayan Latchman who scored 30 while Saffrana Rasheed grabbed 1-2 for Two Brothers Primary.

The second match at the Wales ground saw Vive-la-Force tackle Nismes Primary. Vive-la-Force won the toss and batted first, scoring 117/9 off their 14 overs with Danish Seepersaud’s 19 being the top score. Bowling for Nismes Primary, Tyreca Wallace snared 2/2.

Nismes Primary in reply was restricted to 83/6 in their 14 overs with Emmanuel Phillips hitting a top score of 20. Bowling for Vive-la-Force, Vaneeta Mangal had 1/1. Matches continue on December 30 when Saraswat Primary plays Patentia Primary at Wales Community Centre ground.
