Team Rising Stars humbled Team-D by a 7-1 score line when the Farfan and Mendes Christmas Team Squash Championship continued at the Georgetown Club on Thursday.
Nyron Joseph led the way as he defeated Larissa Wiltshire 3-0 (11/9, 11/4, 13/11) while Rebecca Low edged Jael Gaskin 3-2 (11/6, 11/6, 6/11, 11/4) and Ben Mekdeci crushed Alec Melville 3-0 (11/2, 11/6, 11/2).
Also securing wins for Rising Stars were Louis DaSilva who defeated Isabella Ramjohn 2-0 (11/5, 11/6), Aliyah Persaud who edged James Mekdeci 2-1 (8/11, 11/2, 11/4), Mashal Allicock who overcame Teija Edwards 2-0 (15/13, 11/4) and Demetrius DeAbreu who defeated Kirsten Gomes 3-0 (11/7, 11/4, 11/0).
On the other hand, securing the only win for Team-D was Gianni Carpenter who blanked Dominic Collins 3-0 (11/4, 11/9, 11/2).
In other results, Michael Alphonso defeated Madison Fernandes 3-1 (5/11, 11/7, 11/7, 11/4), Nechemiyah Levans dismissed Mohryan Baksh 2-0 (11/6, 11/3), Shomari Wiltshire crushed Anthony Islam 3-0 (11/2, 11/4, 11/5) and Noah Rahaman blanked Shiloh Asregado 2-0 (11/0, 11/5).
