Bishoo injures shoulder whilst training

(Cricinfo) West Indies legspinner Devendra Bishoo has been sent for scans on his left shoulder after falling and injuring his rotator cuff during a practice session on the first morning of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

Bishoo was not picked for the first Test against Australia in Hobart as left-armer Jomel Warrican was preferred, and again he was not named in the XI at the MCG, where debutant allrounder Carlos Brathwaite was named to replace the injured Shannon Gabriel.

Bishoo collected 6 for 80 against Australia in the Dominica Test earlier this year but after a disappointing tour of Sri Lanka he was overlooked for the Hobart Test.

He picked up 1 for 60 from 14.2 overs in the warm-up game against an under-strength Cricket Australia XI in Brisbane at the start of this tour, and then claimed 2 for 60 against a Victorian XI in Geelong last weekend.
