Embankment road is full of potholes

Dear Editor

Is anyone watching? Today, as I traversed the Embankment Road between LBI and Georgetown I was appalled to note that this major road is replete with potholes (craters).  I need not emphasise how dangerous this situation is for commuters. I am also amazed that, as far as I am aware, there have been no reported serious accidents. I sincerely hope that my observations will prompt immediate action.  Also to be noted is the frequency with which this road deteriorates. Obviously there is need for a more comprehensive assessment with a view to correcting the situation. Surely, it is poor economy to allow a small hole to become like a sinkhole before it is repaired.

Yours faithfully,

Joan Fields
