Dataram, wife arrested in Suriname

Fugitive drug trafficker Barry Dataram and his wife, Anjanie Boodnarine, were yesterday afternoon captured by law enforcement officials in Suriname and Public Security Minister Khemraj Ramjattan said he has requested that he be returned as quickly as possible to Guyana.

Gov’t makes plot of land available to ABSSA

After much consultation with government, the Alex Bunbury Sports and Academics Academy (ABSAA) has been assigned a plot of land in the Ituni area for the construction of Guyana’s first modern multipurpose sport and educational facility.
