This week’s column and the next will wrap up this somewhat extended discussion I have been having on Guyana’s dependence on the export of minerals. This has been treated as part of a broader consideration of Guyana’s high level of economic dependence on extractive export industries more generally. In this regard, there is one sub-sector left to be considered namely, the forest sector.
