The Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court heard that Timothy Fraser, 41, of Lot 13 Railway Embank-ment, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, allegedly made use of threatening language against his landlord, Grace Williams, on January 2.

Fraser, who is a welder/fabricator, pleaded not guilty to the charge. According to the police prosecutor, Williams went to her house, which she rented to Fraser, for payments. However, he allegedly threatened to kill her if she ever returned to the yard and called her names. Williams, who was in fear for her life, filed a report to the police and Fraser was charged as a result.

Magistrate Zamilla Ally set Fraser’s bail at $30,000 and also placed him on a bond to keep the peace. If Fraser breaches the conditions of his release, he faces two months in jail. Fraser is expected to make another court appearance on April 5th for fixture.
