The accused, Adrian Robertson, 23, of Kaituma Waterfront, North West District, was read the charge by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan. It states that on January 12, at Diamond Housing Scheme, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Arian Bess, with the intent to commit murder. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

Prosecutor Deniro Jones objected to bail on the premise that the accused was a flight risk, given that he’d provided different addresses to the court, and he stated that there was a likelihood he would not return for trial.

Although a medical report detailing the victim’s injuries was not available at yesterday’s hearing, Bess was seen wearing a cast on his left arm.

The matter was adjourned to February 18 for report and fixture for trial and Robertson was remanded to prison until that date.
