West man in court over wounding another

A West Ruimveldt man yesterday made a court appearance on a wounding charge after he allegedly struck another man to the head with a piece of wood.

Prosecutor Deniro Jones reported to the court that the victim’s injuries included splinters to the scalp.

Ceon Macey, 35, of 504 West Ruimveldt, denied that on January 9, at Pineapple Street, East Ruimveldt, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Michael Glasgow with intent to maim, disfigure, disable, or cause him grievous bodily harm.

Magistrate Fabayo Azore allowed Macey bail in the sum of $75,000 after no objections were made by the prosecution. He is required to return to court on February 9, before the Chief Magistrate in Court 1.
