This marks the eighth year that Republic Bank has sponsored the competition and the donation was received with gratitude by Minister in the Ministry of Education Nicolette Henry. The competition, which is slated for February 25 and February 28 at the Theatre Guild and Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, respectively promises, to display Guyana’s best in steel pan music.

Music Coordinator Andrew Tyndall said the theme for the competition is ‘Our musical inspiration for the next 50 years.’ He took the opportunity to invite the public to come out at 6 pm on both days to witness the musical skills of those who will be playing pan.
