Jacklow man feared dead after Pomeroon River collision

About 2000h. on Monday, the police say that Mohamed Shameer, 57 years, of Jacklow, Upper Pomeroon, was crossing the Pomeroon River in a Ballahoo when his vessel was struck by another boat powered by an outboard engine.

He has not yet been located and is feared drowned.

The driver of the other boat has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
