The thirty-seven ranks posed with Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum (sitting in front row, at left), Force Training officer Paul Williams and Course Coordinator Brian Eastman at the conclusion of the closing ceremony on Friday.

The closing ceremony was held at the Police Officers’ Training Centre last Friday.

Delivering his feature address at the simple ceremony, Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum urged the 37 ranks from various divisions to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as they use the skills attained to serve the country.

He encouraged the new officers to employ good ethics so they can act as role models, while reminding them that they are entering a new world, which requires working beyond “the call of duty” in most cases.

He also told them to use their training and do their best in any task placed before them.
