A man is now dead after he was accidently stabbed by his accomplice when they attempted to rob a Brazilian national.
The dead man was up to late yesterday afternoon only identified as “Ants,” while his alleged accomplice was on the run.
According to information gathered by Stabroek News, the fatal stabbing occurred around 11.15pm on Monday at Black Water Backdam, Cuyuni River, Eteringbang, where the men attempted to rob the Brazilian, who is only known as “Brother.”
However, “Brother” is reported to have put up a fight and “Ants” was mistakenly stabbed by his accomplice and subsequently died.
Up to late yesterday afternoon, preparations were being made to have detectives visit the scene in order to conduct further investigations.
