Three persons including a woman are currently in police custody after ranks from the Major Crimes Unit yesterday afternoon conducted a search at a house in section A, block X Diamond, EBD during which one 9mm pistol and several rounds of ammunition were found.
A quantity of whitish substance suspected to be cocaine was also discovered but a field test revealed that the substance was baking soda. However, further tests are scheduled to be conducted.
The substance was at the time in a black plastic bag and was found in a toilet bowl.
Investigations are ongoing and charges are likely to be laid soon.
