Hyles who resides in the United States was accepted by 21 colleges across that country, including all eight Ivy League schools. During interviews with various media houses, the teen had indicated that she would be weighing her options before deciding upon which school to attend. Harvard ultimately took the cake, and according to Hyles, it was because it was the institution that had made her feel most at home.

Both sides of the house welcomed Hyles with applause and cheered further when the speaker informed that she will be attending Harvard.
