The police say that investigations are being conducted into a break and enter and larceny and Robbery under Arms. About 0200hrs today, four men armed with handguns, stormed the Regional Democratic Office Compound at BV/ Triumph, East Coast Demerara. They relieved one of the two security guards of cash and valuables, tied them up and proceeded to torch two safes in the building where they carted off an undisclosed sum of cash.
No arrests have been made as investigations continue.
