remanded to prison when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that on October 24th, 2015, at Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Fraser, while in the company of others, murdered Ally. His matter was adjourned until June 15th and transferred to the Springlands Magistrate’s Court.

Two other individual, Dennis Veerasammy and Basheer Harrinauth, have also been charged with the crime and were remanded to prison.

Ally, 36, a labourer of Grant 1805 Weld Tank Dam, Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, was found dead by police who went to his house on October 24th, 2015 to arrest him after a report was made against him.

He had a single gunshot wound and was lying in a pool of blood a few feet away from his door.

Residents of the community had suggested to this newspaper that Ally’s murder may have stemmed from old grievances he had with an individual in the area. Investigations had revealed that Ally had misunderstandings with several persons that night, including the husband of a woman with whom he shared an intimate relationship.
