ASL aircraft accident at Bath being probed

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is currently conducting investigations into an accident involving an Air Services Limited (ASL) aircraft while it was taking off from Bath Aerodrome, a release from the company said yesterday.

Efforts by Stabroek News to ascertain what type of accident it was proved futile.

The release from the company said that a Cessna 206 aircraft registered as 8R-GMA suffered an accident with five ASL officers onboard none of whom suffered injuries. They were provided with immediate support, the release stated.

According to the company the management of ASL awaits the findings from an investigation by the GCAA.

When Stabroek News contacted ASL Manager Balchandra Hardowar he said he could not speak on the matter as the company is awaiting the results of the civil aviation probe.
