Farm Supplies wins contract for $200m in excavators

Farm Supplies Limited has been given the no-objection by Cabinet for a $199.5m contract for the supply of long and short reach excavators for the East Demerara Water Conservancy (EDWC).

This information was released yesterday by the Ministry of the Presidency.

Other contracts received no-objections. These included a contract worth $58.3m to JR Edmonson Building Works for the construction of doctors’ accommodation at Port Kaituma, Region One.

Also given the green light was a contract for $212m to the Guyana National Industrial Company  Inc for pontoons and mud bins for the EDWC.

Large road contracts were also given clearance. Mekdeci Machinery and Construction got the green light for a $16.2m contract for the rehabilitation of the Ituni Road, Region 10.

A contract worth $17.9m for the Kwakwani Road, region 10  was awarded to Rim Construction Inc.

Rim Construction Inc also secured a $48.1m contract for rehabilitation of the Zero Mile-Linden to 65 Miles Mabura Road. The section of road from Kurupukari to Annai will be repaired at a cost of 26.6m by Ivor Allen. JR Ranch has secured the contract for the road from Annai to Lethem to the value of $28.8m.
