First Lady, Sandra Granger on Monday met with Caribbean Airlines’ new Chief Executive Officer, Tyrone Tang and South American Manager, Carl Stuart.
According to a Ministry of the Presidency press release, the meeting was held to explore the possibilities of further partnership. Caribbean Airlines brings the shoes that are donated to the Shoes that Grow/Kind Soles Project to Guyana from New York free of cost, the release stated, and at the end of the meeting it was agreed that Caribbean Airlines would continue to support the Project and assist further on other charities.
The local Shoes that Grow/Kind Soles Project was started by Mrs Granger in collaboration with Ernie Ross, Guyana’s Consul General in Trinidad and Tobago as part of Rethink Initiative. The shoes donated are distribution to children in Guyana’s hinterland region under the President’s Boats, Buses, Bicycle plus Breakfast and Books (Five Bs’) programme.
