Police are investigating the murder of Clint Peters, a miner, which occurred about 7 last night at Jackass Landing, Puruni River, Mazaruni.
Investigations, police say, revealed that the suspect accused the now dead man of “talking his name”, as a result an argument ensued and the suspect stabbed him multiple times about his body with a knife.
He was rushed to the Bartica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The assailant was captured by public-spirited citizens and handed over to the police.
Investigations are also being done into the murder of Arnold Rattan, of Sisters Village, W.B.D, which occurred at 2355h. last night at Long Pond Road, Sisters Village, W.B.D.
Investigations revealed that the now dead man and another man had an argument and Rattan was stabbed to his chest. He was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital and died whilst receiving treatment.
The assailant was captured by public-spirited citizens and handed over to the police.
