Wanted NA man critical after shot by police

Jamal Munroe, 23,  of New Amsterdam who the police had been in search of over the past three weeks was yesterday morning shot by law enforcers.

He is said to be in critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

He was shot after he attempted to make a run for it while the house he was in was surrounded by B Division’s lawmen.

According to Commander of B Division, Ian Amsterdam, Munroe was wanted in connection with a series of break and enter and larceny and robbery under arms. Munroe had appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court on April 8 to answer to separate charges of break and enter and robbery under arms. He was placed on $100,000 bail.
