Computer technician forged US embassy appointment letter

A Kitty computer technician accused of forging a United States of America document was yesterday placed on $50,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty to two charges of fraud.

Dhanraj Raghubir, 27, who is employed with Creative Concepts, a social media marketing company, was yesterday read a charge which stated that on October 25, at Georgetown, with intent to defraud, he forged one United States of America embassy appointment letter. Raghubir denied the allegation.

The accused was read an additional charge which stated that on October 25, at Georgetown, he uttered to Vanessa Gomes a United States of America embassy appointment letter purported to be issued by the US Embassy knowing same to be false. Raghubir denied that allegation as well.

As the prosecution had no objections to bail, Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan granted same to the accused in the sum of $50,000 and adjourned the matter to January 20, when it will be heard in Court 3.
