Sunrise Centre commissioned on Essequibo Coast

President David Granger, First Lady, Sandra Granger and matriarch of the Kayman Sankar family in Essequibo, Seraji Sankar on Saturday commissioned the Guyana Foundation Sunrise Centre at Zorg-En-Vlygt, Essequibo Coast which offers counselling and other services.

The Centre, the first of its kind to be established by the Foundation, also offers skills training and support to individuals and families across the Coast, a release from the Ministry of the Presidency said.

The First Lady said that it is a proud moment for the Foundation and for the people of Essequibo. She also said that it was felicitous that the Centre was opening as Guyana was celebrating Diwali.
