Dear Editor,
Please grant me space in your newspaper to respond to a letter published in the Stabroek News and Kaieteur News on the 26 and 27th April 2016 respectively, written by Carol Joseph, Region 5 Councillor.
Councillor Joseph stated in her letter that the Regional Chairman disrespected the President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana by referring to him as a “Jackass” at a public meeting held on the 5th May, 2016, at Foulis West Coast Berbice.
I will like to make it very clear that I never attended any public meeting at Foulis, West Coast Berbice and secondly I did not utter those words.
Those statements by Councillor Joseph are false and totally misleading.
I consider myself a respectful individual and there is no need for me to disrespect anyone.
This is a blatant attempt by Councillor Joseph to tarnish my character as the Regional Chairman of Region 5.
