Dear Editor,
Saturday was supposed to be the final day for the submission of income tax returns, yet when a number of people visited the Diamond branch of the GRA in the morning to submit their returns, it was not open. A few years back, mobile tents were placed at convenient places where people were able to submit their returns. This facility operated until the closing date.
Why weren’t the sub-offices asked to operate until the last day?
I would hope that late submissions are given an extra day (Monday) seeing that they were denied this service on Saturday.
