Bartica has been suffering a poor electricity supply for years now. We have never had a smooth flow of power for a month straight. I am suggesting that now we have found oil in large quantities more revenue will be pouring in, and government should invest in the first wind and solar power installations for Bartica at Bamford Point.
The Bartica Hospital should also be modernised. It should do surgeries, have more drugs available and perform post mortems. We have a good doctor there at present, namely, Dr E Sagala.
In addition, we should build a home for the poor and disabled, and on another topic, re-sand the beach and pay more attention to the Regatta.
Lastly, cows are destroying people’s property and farms at Agatash. The NDC has to get a pound for animals. These are things to look into.
