The Ministry of Social Cohesion designated today Culture Day 2016 in Guyana which was held under the theme, ‘Culture up – One Guyana’. Secondary schools in Region Three piloted the social cohesion schools’ education programme, GINA saidStudents from 12 secondary schools in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region and their parents participated in the activities. Each school presented a cultural programme and children were allowed to wear their traditional cultural wear.These GINA photos show scenes from the event.
