A Big Bash tapeball competition will take place today at the National Culture Centre tarmac from 9am.
According to a press release, the competition is an initiative of the Foreign Ministry Sports Promotion, to draw awareness to the recent spate of suicides in the country especially among young people.
The Ministry of Education softball team are the defending champions and they are expected to receive stiff competition from Guyana Beverage Company, Police Training College, Office of the Prime Minister and the Public Service Ministry, the release stated.
Entrance fee per team is six thousand dollars and trophies and medals are at stake.
