(The Sports Xchange) – Highlights of Tuesday’s National Basketball Association games.

Heat 129, Bulls 111

Setting a franchise record in field-goal percentage, the Miami Heat rolled to a 129-111 win over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night at American Airlines Arena.

The Heat shot 67.5 percent, the best mark in the NBA this season.

Hornets 126, Suns 92

Guard Kemba Walker scored 26 points in just three quarters of action, and the Charlotte Hornets extended the Phoenix Suns’ road losing streak to 16 straight with an easy 126-92 victory on Tuesday night.

The Hornets took care of business quickly, racing to a 21-6 lead in the first seven minutes and going on to lead by as many as 27 in the first half. They pushed the lead all the way up to 43 in the second half.

Trail Blazers 104, Knicks 85

Guard Damian Lillard scored 30 points and the surging Portland Trail Blazers continued rolling with a 104-85 victory over the New York Knicks on Tuesday night.

Lillard reached 30 points for the eighth time in his last nine games. He also made 10 free throws, extending his streak to 49.

Lakers 107, Nets 101

Rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell scored a career-high 39 points, and the Los Angeles Lakers snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 107-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night at Staples Center.

Russell converted 14 of 21 shots from the floor and eight of 12 3-pointers. It was the most points scored by a Lakers first-year player during a regular-season game.

Mavericks 121, Magic 108

Following the blueprint to their season-high, six-game homestand to perfection, the Dallas Mavericks secured another blowout of a lottery-bound opponent.

The Mavericks’ 121-108 victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday at American Airlines Center was Dallas’ fourth win in five games, the third win in which they built a 20-point lead.

They close out the homestand Friday against the struggling Sacramento Kings, a team they have beaten at home 22 consecutive times dating back to 2004.

Warriors 109, Hawks 105 (overtime)

Center Andrew Bogut capped a season-best, 19-point effort with a key tip-in with 1:51 remaining in overtime Tuesday night, allowing the Golden State Warriors to keep their home-court winning streak alive with a 109-105 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Shooting guard Klay Thompson had seven points in the extra session, and power forward Draymond Green buried a back-breaking, desperation 3-pointer with 40.2 seconds remaining, allowing the Warriors to win a 43rd straight at home with their fifth overtime victory of the season.
