Nine clubs comprising of three males and a female will compete for the title of the nation’s fittest team on March 13.
These and other details were disclosed when the second annual E-Networks Crossfit Games was launched last night at the 704 Sports Bar.
The event is billed for the National Park Tarmac from 10:00hrs.
Sponsors for the event include Banks DIH Limited, DeSinco Trading, Courts, Axe Apparel, Fitness Express, Healing Water, WindJammer Hotel, Wings Investment, The Trophy Stall, Genesis Fitness Express, Wings Transportation Services and Baganara Island Resort.
Tickets are on sale at Fitness Express, Genesis Fitness Express and local gyms.
According to one of the coordinators of the event, Jamie McDonald, “this year will be a bit tougher than last year”.
The CEO of Fitness Express revealed that the athletes will have to perform Olympic snatches, a combination of running and deadlifts and a mixture of Cross Fit movements like jumping over walls and pushing sleds.
