The Budhan Memorial Turf Club in No.66 Village, Corentyne will stage a grand one day horse race meet on Sunday with seven exciting matchups.
The event, which has over three million dollars in cash and prizes, will be governed by the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority.
The feature event of the day will be the J1 and Lower race which will carry a first prize of $250,000.
Notable horses expected to take the field at the meet include Red Regent, Liquid Lion, Plain Land and Little Blue Lightning among others.
Other races for the day include the J3 and lower, the K2 and lower, the L1 and lower, the L2 and lower, the Three-Year Old Guyana Bred and the Unclassified.
According to reports, the track is in excellent condition and all systems are in place for a grand day of horse racing.
