Black Sharks devour Rose Hall Town Jammers

Fyrish Black Sharks defeated Rose Hall Town Jammers 46-32 when the Berbice Amateur Basketball Association (BABA) sanctioned Anamayah Memorial Basketball Championship continued Sunday at the Rose Hall Basketball Court.

Tafawa Daly top scored with 13 points. For the losing team, Delbert Hicks and Kevin Deolall top scored with 12 points each.

The match started brightly for Black Sharks who outscored their opponents 11-9 in the first period. Rose Hall Town Jammers then turned the tables in the second period, netting 14 points to Black Sharks nine points to lead 23-20 at the half time interval.

The sea-saw nature of the contest continued in the pivotal third period as the Black Sharks regained the advantage, outscoring Jammers 10-3 to enter the final period ahead at 30-26.

The visitors sealed the low scoring affair in the fourth quarter as they outshot the home side 16-6. Action in the tourney continues on Sunday at Ithaca Basketball court with New Amsterdam Warriors opposing Hopetown Steelers.
