Bolt is the reigning 100 and 200 metres champion after dominating London 2012. He also swept the sprints at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and will now attempt to become the first athlete in history to win both events at three straight Olympiads.

The meet will also feature Anguilla’s Zharnel Hughes, who now runs for Great Britain, competing in the 200 metres along with Antiguan Miguel Francis and Jamaican Jason Young.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Machel Cedenio, the world junior champion, will do battle in the 400 metres with Jamaica’s Jermaine Gonzalez expected to feature.

World 400m champion and Olympic 200m winner, American Allyson Felix, is also down to compete along with compatriot, former 100m champion Carmelita Jeter.
