The third annual Stag Beer West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) League Championship will officially resume today with a doubleheader at the Den Amstel Community ground
The first matchup will witness Young Achievers facing off with Vege Boyz from at 13:30hrs. In the feature affair at 16:00hrs, Stewartville FC will lock horns with Golden Warriors.
Presently Beavers sit atop the standings after downing Den Amstel 2-1 in their opening affair while Pouderoyen were held to a 1-1 result with Wales United. The other teams competing in the one round event are Uitvlugt Warriors, Stewartville, Eagles, Jetty Gunners, Golden Warriors, Young Achievers and newcomers Vege Boyz.
Three points will be awarded for a victory while one point each will be received by both team for a drawn fixture. A loss equates to zero point.
All matches will be played at Den Amstel Community Centre ground. Prize monies for the top four finishers will be announced shortly by the association.
