Defending champs clinch quarter-final berth

Defending champions Amelia’s Ward Russians, Magics, Team 25 and High Rollers clinched hard-fought quarter-final berths when the Guinness of the Streets Linden edition continued on Tuesday at the Mackenzie Market Tarmac.

In front of a large gathering, Russians edged Main Street Panthers 1-0. Shawn Daniels settled the contest in the 18th minute, directing his right foot effort into the right corner of the net. Meanwhile, Team 25 dismissed Constab 2-0. Quacey Johnson opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a powerful strike from the right side into the left side, after collecting a left side pass following a passing combination.
