With the inclement forcing constant rescheduling, the 22nd edition of the Mayor’s Cup Football Championship is now set to officially commence tomorrow at the Victoria Community ground.
The opening fixture at 18:00hrs will pit Grove Hi-Tech against Buxton Stars while in the feature contest at 20:00hrs, home side and traditional giant Victoria Kings will tackle Agricola Red Triangle. The action will continue on Saturday at the same venue with another doubleheader.
In the first fixture, Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph United tackles Eagles FC from 18:00hrs while Herstelling FC will Golden Grove from 20:00hrs in the second matchup.
The 24-team event, which will be played on a knockout basis, will feature teams from five associations.
