Plaisance Secondary in blow out win of Tutorial High

Plaisance Secondary blew away Tutorial High School 88-35 when their under-19 affair when the National School Basketball Festival (NSBF) Georgetown and East Coast Regionals continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Terrence Daniels scored 29 points while Nigel Bowen chipped in with 12.

For the losing team, Denzel Logan scored 10 points.

In the same section, St. Joseph’s High edged Queen’s College 37-32.

Lemuel Grant scored 16 points while Abevia Perry scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds. For the losing team, Damani Thomas had nine points, 14 rebounds and three steals while Darnell Green assisted with six points and 16 rebounds.

The final match of the section witnessed Tutorial High defeating Queen’s College 33-30. Zion Gray scored 11 points while Dequan Manning chipped in with nine points. For Queen’s College, Thomas scored 11 points and had seven rebounds while Lugard Mohan Jr., scored 11 points.

In the under-16 division, St Joseph’s High dismantled Charlestown Secondary 29-8. Shaquavon Gill led the way with 11 points and five rebounds while Tahir Meusa scored 10 points and five rebounds. For Charlestown, Keoma Henry recorded eight points and had four rebounds.

Plaisance Secondary also won defeating Tutorial High School 38-23. Nigel Bowen recorded a double-double of 13 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals while Andrew Johnson shot his way to 20 points. For the losing team, Zion Gray scored 3 points and had three assists.

Bladen Hall edged Queen’s College 23-22. Joshua Gordon top scored in the win with 14 points while Quacey Shortt assisted with six points, five rebounds and as many blocks. For Queen’s College, Mohan Jr., scored nine points, 11 rebounds and two assists.

In the under-14 category, St. Stanislaus College thumped Plaisance Secondary 33-8. Nathan Hackett recorded a double-double of 13 points, 19 rebounds and four steals while Omario Ganeshbin recorded 10 points and six rebounds. For the losing team, Kelteen Sampson scored four points.

Also, St. Rose’s High edged Tutorial High 9-7. Jaheem Burton scored four points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win while Jaden Craig scored four points and had four rebounds. In the loss, Jaden Moses scored three points and had five steals.

Meanwhile, Marian Academy defeated Bishops’ High 22-15. Corey Graham netted seven points and had 13 rebounds while Jether Harris registered six points and nine rebounds and Ethan Fernandes scored five points.

For the losing team, Timothy Richmond scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds while Duwone Younge scored two points and pulled in eight rebounds. The final result of the section saw President’s College defeating Queen’s College via walkover.
