RBAC gets donation of running shoes from overseas-based Robin Bishop

The Running Brave Athletic Club (RBAC) received a timely shot in the arm last week.  Following the club’s training session on Thursday at the National Track and Field Centre, former national 800 and 1500m athlete, Robin Bishop presented 25 pairs of Adidas and Nike running shoes to their athletes. The donation from the USA based Bishop was greeted with glee ahead of this weekend’s Aliann Pompey Invitational at the same venue. Co-head coach of the RBAC, Sham Johnny noted that a lot of the club’s athletes will be competing in the AP Invitational as well as the school’s championships in a few months and thanked Bishop, a former Eastern Rocket for her act of benevolence.

Johnny also stated that he hopes other individuals and entities can follow in the footsteps of Bishop’s goodwill.
