Riddim Squad maintains rhythm with fifth win

Riddim Squad claimed their fifth win in the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Stag Beer League, edging Flamingo  2-1 on Wednesday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda.

First half goals from Amos Ramsay and Rolex Smith in the 33rd and 36th minute respectively sealed the result. On target in the loss was Orlando Ricketts in the 60th minute.

Riddim Squad now has 19 points but remain in fourth position while  Flamingo remain in sixth position with 10 points.

League leader Western Tigers was held to a scoreless draw by fifth position Camptown.

Western Tigers has 27 points and maintains the top spot while Camptown has climbed to 15 points and is in the 15th position.

Action in the event is set to continue today at the same venue with another doubleheader. In the opening fixture at 18:30hrs, Beacons will tackle Northern Rangers while at 20:30hrs Santos will oppose Guyana Police Force.
