Slingerz FC romped to a 6-1 win over Beavers FC when the National Milling Company (Namilco) Thunder Bolt Flour u17 National Championships West Demerara leg continued yesterday at the Dem Amstel ground.
Brentnol Bobb recorded a double in the 10th and 30th minute while Ronaldo Macey scored twice in the 48th and 58th minute alongside a second half brace from Rivaldo Smith in the 70hth and 72nd minute. For the loser, Shaquille Richard scored in the 55th minute.
Meanwhile, over at the Melanie ground, Buxton United crushed Bachelors Adventure/Paradise 3-0 in the East Coast of Demerara leg. Shemar Fredericks opened the scoring with a 12th minute strike while Kobe Durant increased their lead compliments of a 30th minute conversion.
The result was sealed in the 80th minute as Leandre Brown netted. Action in the event continues at the same venues. Over at the Den Amstel ground, Eagles will lock horns with Wales FC from 12:00hrs.
At the Melanie ground, Ann’s Grove will lock horns with Plaisance in the opener at 9:00hrs while in the feature contest at 11:00hrs, Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph will tackle Victoria Kings.
