Press conference today to discuss three year bilateral rugby programme and arrival of Argentina rugby coach

A three-year bilateral rugby programme between the governments of Guyana and Argentina will be discussed when the Ambassador of Argentina to Guyana, Luis Martino hosts a press briefing today at the Embassy of Argentina.

Discussions to advance on a Declaration of Intent in the area of sports will also be discussed when talks get underway at 11:00hrs between Marino and the Minister of Education, Dr. Rupert Roopnaraine.

A welcoming ceremony of Argentine Rugby Coach, Diego will also be held at the same function.

Giannantonio will join Guyana’s Men’s Rugby team, the ‘Green Machine’ to prepare for the final of the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Championship to be played in Mexico City on October 1. The game will also serve as Qualifier for the Rugby World Cup 2019 to be played in Japan.

Patron of the Guyana Rugby Football Union, Kit Nascimento, President of the Union, Peter Green, and a representative of the Guyana Olympic Association will also be in attendance during the briefing.
